I have given this a little thought and come up with the idea of running a BMW M1 Procar series.
The car is freely available in the BMW dealership tab for 245,000cr, and isn't DLC, and so here goes.
Probably Tuesday nights, if it doesn't clash with other VGN official series.
THE BUILD.
1979 BMW
#6 BMW Motorsport M1 Procar
P.I.: R819
POWER: 471 HP
WEIGHT: 2227 LBS
ENGINE:
STOCK RESTRICTOR PLATE
PLATFORM AND HANDLING:
RACE BRAKES
DRIVETRAIN:
RACE DRIVELINE
TYRES AND RIMS:
RACE TYRE COMPOUND
FRONT: 330/30R16
REAR: 375/35R16
STOCK RIMS
AERO:
STOCK FRONT BUMPER.
The car looks historically authentic, except for tyre width, and drives nice.
Preliminary track choices, based on the actual '79 championship, obviously not all historic circuits are available. (Historically accurate)
Spa (Zolda)
Brands Hatch (Donnington)
Silverstone
Hockenheimring
Nürburgring (Ősterreichring)
Monza
Long Beach, Dubai or Bathurst (Monaco)
Mugello (Dijon-Prenois)
Maple Valley or Laguna Seca (Zandvoort)
Appreciate feedback on any and all aspects of build and track choice.
So what do you think?

Re: BMW MOTORSPORT M1 PROCAR SERIES
I'd be down to race this, love this car. I actually hosted a series with these back on Forza 6 on a different forum in 2015 (jeez that long ago) so it'd be great to give this car more use, quite an underrated car tbh. With track selection if you plan on having races with pitstops don't use Maple Valley because the pit entry causes more carnage than turn 1 at Prague.

Re: BMW MOTORSPORT M1 PROCAR SERIES
Drives well enough, I put max width tyres on the build to make it as accessible as possible to all drivers.
Don't want to clash with any other series on VGN, that's why I thought Tuesday nights would be the best night to run the series. I am willing to run the series, if VGN are happy with the format and rules then I would love for it to be an "official series" otherwise I'll run it as a side series.
Always looking for suggestions and constructive thoughts on the build, circuits and format of the series so to make it as accessible as possible.

Re: BMW MOTORSPORT M1 PROCAR SERIES
I dont think we have a spec series after our next series and going 2 nights a week i personnally dont think thats gd as we aint pipular enough for 1 night haha but id do mondays tbh. Might be worth messaging the others as they dont check forum alot

Re: BMW MOTORSPORT M1 PROCAR SERIES
This can be added to the list of series we currently have in the basket bud thanks for having a go at a build etc, we have about 5 series to go so we will let you know if it comes up of course but I think this could be a future Monday event rather than a Tuesday event as most people enjoy the break after the intensive Monday racing. A good idea though so will add it to the list
